Lake Shore Paranormal Equipment
Lake Shore Paranormal uses different devices in order to find evidence and debunk claims of paranormal activity. Devices such as Digital High Definition Camcorders and Digital Cameras help capture apparitions, mist, and other abnormalities. Equipment such as Digital Voice Recorders help us detect voices and sounds that we are not able to hear. These sounds, voices and whispers are a lower frequency and are not audible to the human ear. EVP or "Electronic Voice Phenomenon" is where you capture a voice or sound on your digital/cassette or video recorder that you did not hear at the time of investigation. We are able to go back and listen to tagged files of our investigations to review any out of place voices, whispers, foot steps, shuffling or other sounds and compare them to other devices in comparison.
Emf Detectors help us to find high levels of EMF which is believed to be given off by spirits, EMF stands for "Electromagnetic Field". High levels of EMF are often found near electrical boxes, wires, and electronic equipment often give off steady sources of EMF that are detectable as well. Spirit EMF comes and goes, though many people seem to think an area may be haunted due to high EMF sensitivity. Sensitivity to EMF can cause long and short term health risks and steps should be taken for your own protection. These are only some more popular equipment we use, other equipment is brought in on a case by case basis, such as our door handle alarm that is great for when a client claims that a door is opening, the device is highly sensitive to any touch and will sound an alarm. Below is a list with pictures of some of the equipment we use most.

Equipment & Summary:
(Scroll down for pictures)
1: Digital Camera
Digital cameras are widely used, though there is some dispute as to the ability to validate the evidence without a negative. I recommend using a digital camera if your budget is limited like ours, so you don't have to worry about buying film and developing it. Other cameras can also be used. There has been much success using 35mm and 110 cameras and also Polaroid. LSP uses a variety of Digital Camera’s
2: LED & Ultraviolet Flashlight
This doesn't need much explanation. I recommend using a camera that has a red lens. This enables you to use it without destroying your ability to see at night. I have tried it myself, and it definitely helps. I prefer Maglight as they can fit in your camera case or pocket and are virtually indestructible.
3: Notebook
You should use a notebook to keep track of weather conditions, solar weather, date, and time. In addition, you should keep a record of any unusual experiences.
4: Digital Recorder
Digital Recorders are used in order to capture electronic voice phenomena (EVP). There are two type of recorders, analog, which uses a cassette, and digital, which does not use a cassette. When using an analog recorder, make sure that it has an external microphone in order to cut down on recording noise from internal mechanisms. LSP uses Sony Brand Digital Voice Reocrder ICP-P520
5: EMF Detector
There are many types ranging in price, including a kit explaining how to make your own. These devices measure electromagnetic field fluctuations. Many teams use the Gauss Master EMF detector as it is inexpensive.
6: HD, DVD, & Night Vision Camcorder
Video recorders can be used to document an investigation. In addition, it can also video tape moving orbs and anomalies. Camcorders equipped with night vision are a must, in most cases.
7: Night Vision
Used in the same way a camcorder with infra red light is used. Orbs can be seen with night vision goggles.
8: Motion Detector
This device uses infra red to detect temperature changes and also uses detector to measure shock waves and physical movement within a certain range.

LSP Ghost Hunting System (LGHS)
LSP uses a hard wired DVR system with 4 IR Cameras to help find evidence in our investigations, our DVR system can support up to 8 wired IR camera's at once. We run our cameras off a PC with a DVR PCI card, and additional Camera's off a 4 Channel USB DVR adapter. Evidence is recorded to the PC making it easy to review, watch and copy evidence to give to our clients using the latest software in EVP and Video Analyzing.
